'Clair De Lune' Canal du Midi Cruise

If you are a family with children, we are able to create a bespoke itinerary and substitute a maximum of 4 excursions from our Classic Cruise Itinerary with your preferred family activities.

The following activities can usually be arranged on-board directly with the barge Captain and included in your itinerary without any extra charge, unless otherwise stated:
 

Cavayère Lake 
The lake and forest of Cavayère is not just for taking a stroll, it is also a health resort, an amusement park, a place where adults and children can have fun. A special place where you can relax with your family and enjoy children's games, water sports, sandy beaches, fishing, tree climbing and mini golf.

Carcassone Haunted House
Carcassonne, dating from the time of Charlemagne, has been fully restored. You can walk the ramparts, visit the Château Comtal and step back in time. For the more adventurous, visit the Haunted House.

Narbonne « Freedom and space »
Narbonne to "Freedom and Space" an aquatic center with giant slides and pools close to lengthy beaches of Narbonne, Saint-Pierre La Mer & Fleury.

Horse Riding or Goat's Cheese Farm at Combebelle
This stunning equestrian centre located in Argeliers is the ideal spot for a horse or pony ride, Combebelle Farm: This wonderfully rustic shop and barn you can sample an array of different cheeses and even head out back to the milking parlour to play with the goats and watch how the milking process is done.

Adventure Park (Beziers)
Set in a 80 hectare wood the park Tree Beziers Adventure, welcomes for 10 years ages and transports all-out top crown, providing them with unforgettable sensations. Discover the environment of the tree climbing park, which offers a breathtaking view of the animals from the neighboring farm. This farm will delight young and old with many species such as, big deer, deer and their fawns, the emus, zebu cattle, llamas, donkeys, horses, sheep, peacocks, pigs and other ...
The new Beziers forest adventure park has a large paintball now accessible to children from 8 years old named PAINTBALL FOREST, it opens its doors and invites you to get your fill of sensations..

All activities are subject to availability. Children’s bicycles, bicycle helmets, child car seats and high-chairs are all available without cost.

Sunday, Day 1 Homps
Guests are met at Beziers,Narbonne or Carcassonne, and transferred by private chauffeured minibus to Clair de Lune. The crew welcomes you on board with a glass of chilled champagne and canapés.
Time for your first dinner on board.

Monday, Day 2 Homps to Argens
After breakfast, morning cruise to Argens: Bike outing during the cruise.
After lunch, your guide will accompany you to Carcassonne, the restored and most complete medieval fortified city in existence today, dating back to the Gallo Roman era. With its 52 watchtowers, portcullis and extraordinary repertoire of defences, it resisted the many armies that tried to storm this Camelot setting. You can walk the ramparts and step back in time dinner on board.

Tuesday, Day 3 Argens Le Somail
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic cruise to Le Somail.
After lunch onboard, a flexible cycling afternoon awaits you, with different route options: Le somail to Narbonne (24km), or through the Minervois region (46 Km).

Wednesday, Day 4 Le Somail to La Croisade
After breakfast, we drive you to the beautiful city of Narbonne, a Roman Mediterranean capital where the Visigoth monarchs once lived. Enjoy the Archbishop’s Palace and Roman Horreum and explore the indoor market – les Halles de Narbonnes - at the hub of this bustling town where you will have time to shop or simply absorb the relaxed atmosphere. Then we enjoy lunch in a typical French restaurant close to Les Halles.
After returning to Clair de Lune, a relaxing afternoon cruise to La Croisade (with bicycling opportunities along the towpath). Dinner on board.

Thursday, Day 5 La Croisade to Capestang
Morning cruise to Capestang and lunch on board.
Cycling routes in the afternoon from Capestang include an easy 30km loop as well as more challenging options, depending on your level & preference.

Friday, Day 6 Capestang to Beziers
In the morning we embark on our final cruise, to arrive at the delightful  town of Beziers, where you will have lunch onboard.
Afternoon visit to the Oppidum d’Enserune, a two-thousand year old hilltop archeological city-site located near of the mooring, and a private wine-tasting will make this day even more memorable.
Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.

Saturday, Day 7 Beziers
After breakfast, guests are transferred by private chauffeured minibus to their choice of location in Beziers, Narbonne or Carcassonne.

On alternate weeks the cruise will be in the reverse direction. This is a sample itinerary and is subject to change
